Arrival in Cape Town
Arrive at Cape Town International Airport and transfer to your boutique hotel in the vibrant City Bowl area. Depending on arrival time, explore the V&A Waterfront — Cape Town's premier dining and entertainment district, set against the backdrop of Table Mountain. Browse the craft market, sample local oysters at a waterfront restaurant, or simply soak in the views of the working harbour with Table Mountain as your backdrop. A welcome dinner at a renowned Cape Malay restaurant introduces you to the distinctive flavours of the Cape.

Table Mountain & City Exploration
Ride the rotating cable car to the summit of Table Mountain, a New7Wonders of Nature, for breathtaking 360-degree views spanning from the Atlantic seaboard to the Winelands mountains. Walk the summit trails among unique fynbos vegetation found nowhere else on earth. Descend and explore the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood with its iconic pastel houses and rich Cape Malay heritage. After lunch in the hip Woodstock area, visit the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa — the largest museum of contemporary African art in the world. The evening is free to explore the city's thriving food and nightlife scene.

Cape Peninsula — Penguins & Cape of Good Hope
A full-day tour of the Cape Peninsula, one of the most scenic drives in the world. Head south through the fishing village of Kalk Bay, stopping to browse the antique shops and artisan bakeries. Continue to Boulders Beach to meet the famous colony of African penguins waddling among the granite boulders. Drive through the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve to the dramatic Cape Point, where a funicular takes you to the old lighthouse with views that stretch to the meeting point of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. Return via Chapman's Peak Drive, a spectacular road carved into the cliff face above Hout Bay, and stop at a seaside restaurant for a fresh seafood dinner.

Cape Town to Hermanus — Whale Coast
Depart Cape Town and drive east along the spectacular coastal road to Hermanus, the whale-watching capital of the world. Stop at the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden en route, where coastal fynbos meets the sea. In Hermanus, walk the famous cliff path that offers unrivalled land-based whale watching — between July and November, southern right whales calve in Walker Bay just metres from shore. Board a whale-watching boat for a closer encounter (seasonal), or explore the charming town centre with its galleries, craft shops, and wine-tasting rooms. Dinner features fresh local seafood at one of the town's acclaimed restaurants.

Hermanus to Knysna via the Garden Route
Depart Hermanus and drive east along the Overberg coast, stopping at the charming town of Swellendam — one of South Africa's oldest settlements. Continue through rolling farmland and indigenous forest as you enter the Garden Route proper. Stop at the famous Bloukrans Bridge — the world's highest commercial bungee jump for the brave, or simply admire the gorge from the viewing platform. Arrive in Knysna by late afternoon, checking into your guest house overlooking the legendary Knysna Lagoon and the Heads — the dramatic sandstone cliffs guarding the lagoon entrance.

Knysna — Lagoon, Forest & Local Flavours
A full day exploring Knysna's diverse attractions. The morning begins with a kayaking excursion on the sheltered Knysna Lagoon, paddling past the Heads and exploring quiet bays where kingfishers dart between the mangroves. After the kayak, visit the famous Knysna oyster farm for a tasting session. The afternoon takes you into the primeval Knysna Forest — home to centuries-old yellowwood and stinkwood trees, and the legendary (though rarely seen) Knysna elephants. Walk the Garden of Eden trail through towering canopy, breathing in the ancient forest air. Return to Knysna for dinner at a waterfront restaurant.

Tsitsikamma National Park & Storms River
Drive east to the magnificent Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park, where ancient forest meets dramatic rocky coastline. Walk the first section of the famous Otter Trail to the Storms River suspension bridge — a swaying footbridge spanning the gorge where the Storms River crashes into the Indian Ocean. The walk passes through dense coastal forest with towering yellowwoods and ferns, emerging at viewpoints over the churning sea below. After lunch at the Tsitsikamma restaurant, optional activities include a treetop canopy tour through the forest or a gentle kayak up the Storms River gorge. Continue to your accommodation near Port Elizabeth.
