Depart Dar es Salaam early and drive to Mikumi. Afternoon game drive on the Mkata floodplain — lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra.

Mikumi to Nyerere National Park

Nyerere to Ruaha National Park
Transfer from Nyerere to Ruaha — a long but scenic drive through Tanzania's remote interior. Arrive at Ruaha and settle into camp near the Great Ruaha River.

Ruaha — Game Drives Along the Great Ruaha River
Full day game driving in Ruaha. The Great Ruaha River is a wildlife magnet — elephant, lion, leopard, hippo, and crocodile. Ruaha has one of East Africa's largest lion populations and is a stronghold for endangered wild dogs.
