4 Days Mountain Gorilla Trekking Safari-Flying Safari
4 DAYS
Overview
The Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda is one of Africa’s most biologically diverse ecosystems. Mountain gorillas, giant hogs, forest elephants, and half the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population live in the dense jungle. The Bwindi Forest is the best place in Uganda to go gorilla trekking, and daily sightings are around 90% in Bwindi.
Once you’ve found a habituated family group, spend an hour quietly observing from a respectful distance. The trek back to the lodge is usually quiet as you and your fellow travellers recall soulful gestures, expressions, and interactions with our closest mammalian cousins. The eco-friendly Bwindi Lodge is separated from the forest by a clear mountain stream. Day 2: Gorilla trekking, rainforest walks with a guide, or cultural activities like tea tasting and community visits are all possible.
This short gorilla trek is perfect for an East African big-game safari.
