Singita Grumeti is the crown jewel of Tanzania's western Serengeti corridor, encompassing a staggering 350,000 acres of private concession land that serves as a critical corridor for the Great Migration. This ultra-exclusive reserve operates just three intimate lodges — Sasakwa, Faru Faru, and Sabora — each a distinct masterpiece of design and hospitality, collectively offering fewer than twenty suites across the entire concession. Sasakwa Lodge, the flagship property, channels the grandeur of an Edwardian manor house with stone-clad walls, manicured lawns, a tennis court, and an infinity pool that seems to pour into the Serengeti below. Faru Faru Lodge takes a more contemporary approach with organic architecture that mirrors the surrounding landscape, while Sabora Tented Camp recreates the golden age of safari exploration with silk-lined canvas tents and campaign-style furniture. The concession's exclusivity means guests never encounter more than a handful of vehicles during game drives — a stark contrast to the crowded central Serengeti. Between June and July, the Great Migration thunders through the western corridor, with millions of wildebeest fording the Grumeti River in dramatic crossings that draw enormous Nile crocodiles and prowling lion prides. Singita's conservation philosophy is woven into every aspect of the experience. The Grumeti Fund, supported by guest contributions, has restored the ecosystem through anti-poaching operations, community development, and wildlife reintroduction programs that have brought black rhino back to the reserve after decades of absence.

Each lodge offers a distinctive dining experience. Sasakwa features formal multi-course dinners with South African wines from a 6,000-bottle cellar. Faru Faru serves contemporary bush cuisine on a riverside deck. Sabora recreates Hemingway-era safari dining with silver candelabras under canvas. All properties accommodate dietary requirements with excellence.
Activities include private game drives in open Land Rovers, guided bush walks, mountain biking through the concession, hot air balloon safaris, archery, tennis, wine tasting at the Singita Wine Studio, community visits, and conservation centre tours with the Grumeti Fund team.
The concession hosts all of the Big Five, with black rhino successfully reintroduced through conservation efforts. Lion prides are large and frequently seen, leopards inhabit the riverine forest along the Grumeti River, and massive Nile crocodiles await the migration's river crossings. Wild dog, cheetah, and over 450 bird species are regularly sighted.
The Great Migration passes through the western corridor from May to July, creating some of the most dramatic wildlife encounters on Earth. The rest of the year offers excellent resident game viewing in near-total exclusivity. The green season (November–April) brings lush landscapes and superb birding.
